Dear Vicky Jones,
I love your story! My favourite parts are the two scary chapters and they are The Boy In The Mirror and The Dream because I like scary things.
Are you going to make a sequel? Can you please come to Parkvale School, Howard street, Hastings, New Zealand?
My favourite character is Chantal because she loves music and I love music. Do you play any instruments, I play violin?
Yours sincerely Kharn, Year 5 Parkvale School, Hastings.

The Butterfly Effect
On 6/6/2012 my reading group read the butterfly effect.
Then we had to roll the question dice, these are my questions and answers.
Q. What will Anderson do?
A. Turn into a butterfly.
Q. What should the children do to get Miss Anderson away?
A. Trick her into thinking that the parents are coming back early.
Q. When would Henry and Emily tell Miss Anderson that they don’t like her?
A. Never.
Q. How would Miss Anderson get out?
A. By cracking the cocoon.
Q. Where would Miss Anderson grow her wings?
A. Her back.

Reflection for Sara’s Visit
Reflection for Sara’s Visit
…because I like Earth and other elements.
…because If I become a builder I know how tall the houses can be.
…because I was late.
Something I want to get better at is finding answers.
· Something I was pleased with that we learnt more stuff about the environment.
…because I like Earth and other elements.
· I really enjoyed learning how tall residential buildings can be.
…because If I become a builder I know how tall the houses can be.
· Something I found hard was getting what they were talking about because I was at music most of it.
· Something that made me think was what we were talking about.
…because I was late.
Something I want to get better at is finding answers.
(What can I do about it?)
I could read and google search more.
What I would like to know next is to have your say on the council doing something that you need to own the house.

Autumn
Here is my autumn poem.
Voice Recorder >>
Autumn 1/5/2012
The leaves fall and the wind catches them and cleans them up.
The wind swishes all the trees around making music.
The trees keep the animals nice and warm.
All the animals start to hibernate cold by the temperature.
The temperature gets colder and makes leaves fall.
WALT: observe and include specific details in our writing
